Favini publishes its 2023 Sustainability Report

With its second edition of the Report, Favini renews its commitment to communicate transparently about its path in various areas of sustainability

Rossano Veneto (VI), 09 September 2024 – Favini publishes the second edition of its Sustainability Report. Once again, this year Favini renews its commitment to transparently communicate its actions and objectives in many areas of sustainability.

The Favini Group’s Sustainability Report 2023 is a document which summarises performance in environmental, social and economic areas and is integrated within the Group’s Consolidated Financial Statements. This document is prepared by Favini on a voluntary basis and precedes the obligation expected in the coming years. The Group’s Report has adopted the most up-to-date version of the GRI Standards as a reference.

Favini has been pursuing sustainability issues with great awareness since the 1990s, starting with the patenting of Alga Carta, a paper created from the creative reuse of overabundant seaweed from the Venice Lagoon. Over the years, the commitment to environmental issues has become increasingly structured and formalised, as shown by the Report that annually monitors the company’s achievement of its goals in the areas of sustainability.

‘We have achieved the environmental, social and governance sustainability goals set for

2023, and laid the foundations for new goals of greater stakeholder engagement. The path

is extraordinarily complex and challenging, with numerous issues to address and define

alongside typical business management,‘’ says Eugenio Eger, Favini’s CEO.

In the Report, Favini pursues sustainability, based on the essential main pillars: quality, involvement of internal staff and external collaborators. A commitment, towards sustainability, which is leading to a modification of the company’s organisation, in order to address sustainability goals in a progressively satisfactory manner, expanding the list of targets to be achieved and defining the action plans.
