Call for Artist! – Packaging Première & PCD Milan Art Gallery 2025

Year after year, Packaging Première & PCD Milan is solidifying its position as the “place to be” for luxury packaging professionals. Yet, it’s more than that: a source of inspiration where innovation, creativity, and trends converge, sparking reflection and opening new horizons for the future of packaging and visual communication.

The artwork for the 2025 edition, created by AI artists Andrea Filippi and Gabriele Moschin, embodies this spirit, presenting a new methodological approach to surpass conventional applications of AI in art and design.

We invite designers, digital artists, graphic designers, and illustrators to submit their applications to the Art Gallery of Packaging Première & PCD Milan, the event’s artistic experimentation space.

Theme of the Art Gallery

When asked what AI has done for design, the typical answer revolves around revolutionizing tools, software, data analysis, and process automation to make creation faster, more precise, and user-friendly. Yet, even when rephrased, this answer often neglects a crucial element: the human factor, the creative spark, the poetry.

This is where prompting becomes an art, restoring the fundamental value of the word: virtuality. A potential or latent reality that can manifest in various ways. It is not synonymous with unreality but rather a different form of existence, ready to become real under specific conditions. AI becomes the gateway to these conditions.

In this emerging world, the design history of tomorrow takes shape: nature, intelligence, and the future converge.

  • Nature serves as the subject, evoking themes of sustainability and the research and development of increasingly eco-friendly materials.
  • Intelligence is the means, stretching imagination across all fields, from packaging to paper engineering to printing techniques.
  • The future is the drive toward the idea: unveiling the essence of every packaging.

Depth in art, nature, and packaging lies hidden in the surface.
