Dahlinger’s design studio created a unique design for Noces de Diamant’s packaging: a very special cognac from the house of Hardy

The house of Hardy owes its name to the British Anthony Hardy, who left London as often as he could to travel to Charente. He is also described as „the Englishman who loved France“. In 1863, he finally founded „Maison Hardy“ in the region he did admire most.
Exceptional name, exceptional content. The Noces de Diamant is a very special cognac from the house of Hardy. At least 60 years of maturation in high-quality barrels ensure a very special character. The unusual crystal decanter underlines the exclusivity of this noble drop.
The packaging is as exclusive as the content. The customer’s wish was to create a completely new packaging. The Noces de Diamant had to be presented in a way it deserves.
For this purpose, our design studio created a unique design. The box is based on an MDF body, which was covered with navy blue paper in nubuck look. The rear pillar is made of matt lacquered wood, creating stability and rounding off the noble look. The packaging was refined by multiple screen printing and hot stamping.
Opening the doors reveals a magnificent insight into the soul of the product. The carafe of the Noces de Diamant is enthroned on a pedestal, surrounded by a cream-coloured interior and various finishes. Included is a glass stopper secured by a strap with a gold clasp, as well as various inscriptions.
The challenge of this project lay mainly in the ultra-precise drilling required for a perfect result. The large amount of printing on different colours and materials also demanded impeccable material skills, but through excellent communication all hurdles were successfully overcome.
