One female tool and its counterforce (male) create an embossed image on the print support. The same procedure can be used to create debossing.
Embossed effects are generally made on one single level, but on brass material, by mechanical engraving, they can also be transferred onto several levels to obtain a three-dimensional effect and fully exploit the potential of artistic engraving.
For blind embossing we use 3 to 7mm for brass tools and 1,75 to 7mm for magnesium tools.
