Barbara Del Curto, with a degree in Industrial Design and a PhD in Materials Engineering, is Full Professor of Design at the “Giulio Natta” Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. Her scientific activity focuses on material and surface design, with a focus on innovative and functional materials and nanotechnologies, and is geared towards applications in the packaging, textile and manufacturing sectors. Since 2018 she has led the Making Materials group, specialising in bio-based and circular materials, CMF design, sustainable behaviour and the development of bio-based composites for packaging
