CM Cartotecnica Moderna and ICMA Sartorial Paper are the winners of the Sustainability Category with Rinascimento project at Avant-Garde 2024
Rinascimento is a virtuous and innovative expression of circular economy in the luxury packaging landscape, which transforms the scraps generated in the production phase into exquisite 100% recycled creative paper.
Partners for many years, the two companies have decided to collaborate to bring this important project to life, developing it in the following steps, coordinated by ICMA:
- The salvaging of Cartotecnica Moderna’s cellulosic scraps;
- Transfer of the waste to an assigned container to ensure the traceability and production of recycled paper created entirely in a circular economy from the same pulp;
- Finishing of the paper in accordance with the requests of CM Cart. Moderna;
- Supply of the paper to Cartotecnica Moderna for the creation of coated boxes and shopping
The unique and innovative characteristics of this project are:
- 100% recycled paper, produced in a circular economy using the waste generated by CM Cart. Moderna;
- Tracing of the box-factory waste along the supply chain;
- 100% Italian value chain, from scraps to boxes;
- Analysis of the environmental impact of the manufactured paper in terms of CO2E;
- Aesthetic uniqueness;
- The final packaging created by CM Cart. Moderna will in turn be.
CM Cartotecnica Moderna’s and Icma Sartorial Paper’s project has been selected by the jury for the Sustainability category and will be exhibited in the Avant-Garde dedicated area at Packaging Première & PCD Milan 2024.
