Crafted to Disappear is entirely mono-material box, made of colorful corrugated cardboard, with a tag made of soluble paper. It is embossed and printed with a soy-based ink, and the string is made from woven paper.
In a world where pollution does the moonwalk and artificial intelligence is brighter than a squirrel in the morning, our challenge can be summed up in one question: how can packaging survive? If production is worthwhile, can we create goods that have a high impact but a low environmental footprint? Crafted to Disappear is a versatile project, we’ve designed it to be flexible.
By simply swapping a few pieces, the design can come together and manage multiple references with minimal set-up. Crafted to Disappear has an eco-friendly soul and is so clever that it has an answer to everything, even the question “How does a chicken get into a box?”
The answer, of course, is inside the box! Crafted to Disappear is entirely mono-material, made of colorful corrugated cardboard, with a tag made of soluble paper. It is embossed and printed with a soy-based ink, and the string is made from woven paper. With this project, we don’t want to bore you, we don’t want to surprise you, we just want to challenge you: how can packaging survive?
Co&In’s project has been selected by the jury for the Design category and will be exhibited in the Avant-Garde dedicated area at Packaging Première & PCD Milan 2024.
