The 2024 edition of Packaging Première & PCD Milan promises to be impressive: in the exhibition space, visitors will be able to discover the latest trends and product innovations in luxury, cosmetics, perfumery, wine & spirits, fine food and fashion, from primary, secondary and packaging service. Packaging Première & PCD Milan enhance the entire supply chain, offering a never-ending source of inspiration.
Among the objectives being pursued for 2024 is to increase the offer of primary packaging made of glass, an essential material for some sectors – such as beauty and wine & spirits. Exhibitors specialising in the production and decoration of primary glass packaging include Bormioli Luigi, Cerve, Hanghua Glass, New Genius Glass, P&P Promotion, Vetroelite and Vetronaviglio, to name a few.
“Besides the exhibition area, Packaging Première & PCD Milan will host special projects such as Avant-Garde, the Design Hub and the Art Gallery, as well as a schedule of talks and roundtables reflecting on the future of packaging, which is increasingly responsible, smart and innovative,” emphasises Pier Paolo Ponchia, Founder and Director of Packaging Première. “Avant Garde brings to the spotlight materials or products considered worthy in terms of innovation, the Design Hub presents five of the best agencies specialised in wine and spirits packaging design, providing a valuable source of inspiration in terms of branding and packaging, and last but not least, the Art Gallery, which serves as a prologue to the event, explores for this edition the theme of digital art, thanks to the collaboration with artist Vincenzo Marsiglia”.
Vincenzo Marsiglia is the artist who created the graphics for the printed, digital and installation projects and that will surprise visitors with illusions, effects and works of digital art, experimenting the use of technologies aimed at exploring the properties of his language in function of new expressive solutions. His aesthetics can be traced back to the tradition of geometric abstraction, minimalism and optical art, with the aim of achieving a mutable art form, which becomes complete with the interaction of the viewer.
The experience that Packaging Première & PCD Milan will deliver will be powerfully involving, thanks to the collaborations with renowned names such as Fusto Milano (which has specially designed a cake for the event thanks to the mastery of the homonymous pastry chef Gianluca Fusto), the Italian Perfumery Institute (a training course dedicated to the knowledge of perfume and olfactory culture, which developed the Home Fragrance project, a unique room fragrance) and CFF Creative Flavours & Fragrances (a leader in the production and distribution of fragrances, which will bring to life the fragrance developed by the students of the Italian Perfumery Institute). To make the Home Fragrance project possible, the collaboration with New Genius Glass, Cerve, Caps & Fashion, Valtenna with Fedrigoni paper, Grafical with Fedrigoni Self-Adhesive paper and Luxoro was extremely valuable.
